New Valiant makes waves in Houston.

Nashville, TN (01.15.08) - New Valiant Production proudly announces the music video for Fashionable by Quiet Company directed by Cameron McCasland and produced by Michael Creason has been accepted into the 41st Annual WorldFest competition in Houston Texas.

WorldFest-Houston International Film Festival continues with its totally dedicated Independent Film screening format for the upcoming April 18- 27, 2008 unspooling at the flagship AMC Studio 30 Dunvale Theaters.

Taylor Muse, of Quiet Company stated that “Fashionable is essentially about that point in all one sided relationships where one person realizes that life is too short. Lyrically its a contrast from most of the record in that "Shine Honesty" is largely about the hopefulness of love and its ability to withstand our shortcomings.”

Muse went on to say, “We had a great time making the video for Fashionable and I think the goal was to recreate our live show in an artistic way. Cameron was able to achieve that with ease and I think we captured the energy we needed.”

Upon the news of being accepted into Worldfest, director Cameron McCasland said “As a native Texan, I’m happy to see the video being played back in my home state. Quiet Company gave us a wonderful song to work with. My business partner Michael Creason and the New Valiant crew worked wonders making the shoot a pure joy. I couldn’t have done it without them.”

“I’m honored that Quiet Company put faith in New Valiant to produce their first music video.” Producer/DP Michael Creason said. “It was a pleasure working with Taylor and the rest of the band. Cameron’s creative direction really sets the video apart. Having the video accepted at Worldfest is a great way to start the New Year.”

WorldFest was founded 47 years ago as Cinema Arts, an International Film Society in August, 1961. WorldFest became the third competitive international film festival in North America, following San Francisco and New York. WorldFest is the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the World. It evolved into a competitive International Film Festival in April, 1968.

The Remi Award is inspired by the creative genius of the great western artist Frederick Remington, famous for his paintings and sculptures of cowboy life in Texas and The West. His vision brilliantly captured the true Independent Spirit of Texas and The West.

The mission/vision statement of WorldFest is to recognize and honor outstanding creative excellence in film & video, to validate brilliant abilities and to promote cultural tourism for Houston, to develop film production in the region and to add to the rich cultural fabric of the city of Houston.
