Marcom Gold Comes To Nashville

Nashville, TN (11.04.08) Nashville based New Valiant Productions was recognized by the Marcom Creative Awards this week for their Public Service Short “Trash Day Of The Dead” The short from the “Go Green With Dr. Gangrene” campaign was awarded the Gold Marcom in the Television/Public Service Announcements category.

“Trash Day Of The Dead” is a thirty seconds spot, written and directed by Cameron McCasland and Produced by Michael Creason. It follows Nashville Television Horror Host Dr. Gangrene (played by Larry Underwood) and his Nurse assistant Moan-Eek (Linda Wylie) as they battle littering zombies in the streets of downtown Nashville. The short continues to garner views on the web, as well as on WNAB CW 58.

This is the third award for “Trash Day Of The Dead”, as last month it received honors from the AEGIS Awards, and Blingy Awards. The “Go Green With Dr. Gangrene” campaign staff also received the Governors Award Of Merit from Tennessee Governor Phil Bredesen.

MarCom Awards is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and
Communication Professionals. The international organization consists of several
thousand creative professionals. The Association oversees awards and recognition
