New Valiant Gets the Blues in Deltas Film Festival

Nashville, TN (03.12.08) - New Valiant Productions is proud to announce “Fashionable - A Music Video For Quiet Company” has been accepted into competition at the 9th Annual Crossroads Film Festival in Jackson, MS. The Festival is sponsored by the Crossroads Film Society, and will be held April 3-6, 2008.

The mission of the Crossroads Film Society is “to celebrate the art of filmmaking in all of its diversity and depth. The Crossroads Film Society will facilitate and promote a broader spectrum of film and video for the community, will present and honor films and videos related to Mississippi and the South, and will provide educational opportunities and facilitate general discussions for film lovers and aspiring film makers”.

“Fashionable - A Music Video For Quiet Company” continues its success after being accepted by The Worldfest International Film Festival late last year. Director Cameron McCasland was noted as saying, “I am amazed at the ongoing response we get from the music video. I know Quiet Company has been working hard on the road to promote it, and they deserve a majority of the credit. Both myself and Michael Creason (producer) are excited about The Crossroads Film Festival, as we have already witnessed the Southern hospitality even before the fest begins I am looking forward to meeting the people of Mississippi, and sharing in the legacy of their film society, as they seem to be everything we love about independent cinema..”

Crossroads is named after the story of legendary bluesman, Robert Johnson. Who as the story goes, sold his soul to the devil to learn to play guitar. The city of Jackson, and the surrounding Delta are the crossroads of the south joining Atlanta to New Orleans, and offer an eclectic mix of culture in both film, music, and the arts.
